Men's Elite - Cat 1-3

The Men's Elite field

 

Master's racing

Masters racing is the fastest growing demographic in U.S. These races are not necessarily slower than their senior category counterparts. In fact, as more and more Cat 1 and Cat 2 racers get older but continue racing, Masters races have become more competitive than ever.

Men's B Field - Cat 4

Typically the largest field, category 4

 

Women's field

Women start in category 4, although all women race in the same field regardless of their category in CRCA club races.

Men's Development - Cat 5

All men racers start their career in category 5, upgrading after 10 races.

 

junior'S RACING

Junior racing is for youth younger the age of 18.  There are restrictions on gearing for youth races.  NYCC Racing and Development is looking to develop the next generation of cyclists.

CRCA Series - Central Park - Manhattan, NYC

CRCA holds club races for men, women and juniors in graded races based on ability on most weekends from March through August in Central Park. The club also promotes a number of open races each year. Club race formats include scratch races, points races and time trials. Generally, at least four races are held at one time, including at least one separate women’s field.

Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup - Prospect Park - Brooklyn, NY

The Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup links the Kissena Cycling Club Prospect Park Series Races into an overall competition for the Pro/1-2-3 and Category 4 fields. The top 10 finishers in each race will receive points and the rider with the most points at the end of the series will be crowned the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup overall champion.

Tuesday Night Series - Floyd Bennett Field - Brooklyn, NY

NYC’s first airport is now home to Tuesday and Thursday night criterium racing.  Located just off the water, brutal crosswinds are a feature of this course.  Pro/1/2/3, Cat 4, Cat 5, and Juniors races are held throughout the summer.

Rockleigh Crit - rockleigh NJ

The Rockleigh Crit offers Thursday Evening Criterium Racing on the world famous Rockleigh Mile! Two races every Thursday evening starting in June through to August with two Championship series with trophies and leaders jerseys.

The team also rides in other races and gran fondos around the country such as the Battlefield to Vermont in Massachusetts, Gran Fondo NY and NJ, among others
